2017 LTMG Machinery Global Customer Visiting----Turkey

In order to deepen the stepping-out strategy of LTMG Machinery company. Maggie, from LTMG Machinery Foreign Trade Department, together with her colleague, were invited to visit Turkish customers on October 21 after visiting customers in Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and Gabon in 2017.

Turkey, as an important country in the middle of Eurasia, borders the Black Sea on the north, the Mediterranean Sea on the south, Syria on the south-east, Iraq on the west, Aegean Sea on the west, and Greece and Bulgaria, on the east bordering Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran. It has a very important impact on the neighboring countries and the EU forklift market.

Turkish market really just like “a battleground of the military” for Chinese forklift manufacturer. The past 10 years, based on the good quality and cheap price of Chinese forklifts and good promotion of local agents, the market share Chinese forklift with Chinese engine in Turkey from less than 5% growth to 50%, and China exported tens of thousands of forklifts each year to turkey. Turkish customers have strict requirements on forklift’s configuration and price.
After meeting with Turkish clients, Maggie firstly conveyed the greetings from top management of the company to them. At the same time, the client also thanked LTMG company and introduced the latest developments in the Turkish market about the current needs of the clients, the problems they face and the future development plan.


The main problem is that due to the increasingly fierce competition in the prices of forklifts in the Turkish market in recent years, customers paid too much attention to price and disregard forklift configurations, it has a serious impact on the market of our existing customers in the short term. Local agents also felt very anxious about this.

The company also explained to customers that due to price competition is too fierce, leading to some Chinese manufacturer neglect quality for getting profit by using low-cost ,low-quality parts, and even sold second-hand refurbishment forklift. They did one-time business. These forklifts only be used 1-2 years at most and will have serious quality problems, leading to customers’ great loss of both money and forklift.

Maggie clarifies the culture of LTMG company to clients: LTMG will continuously offer most competitive prices to agents, but not for price competition. And ensuring that , based on the cost and quality ,to improve the level of research and development, improve customer product trial experience and productivity. The following 1-2 years will be a watershed. As long as we insist on our own quality and service, our customers will definitely make a new and wise choice and trust us more after the test of time.

After a day of friendly and in-depth conversation, LTMG Machinery promised to give customers more support for the accessories and services, and both sides reached a consensus on the development of the market in the future. The whole visit ended successfully.
