Container mast forklift, also known as container spec forklift truck, is a kind of forklift truck that can operate inside a standard container. Its maximum wheel pressure is less than the standard container floor allowable wheel pressure value, can safely enter the container operation, suitable for operation in port terminals and other places. China's first container mast forklift was successfully developed in 1985, passed the technical appraisal and officially put into production in 1988. The 10-ton container mast forklift produced by LTMG optimize the body parameters and configurations, apply to the international standards for container dimensions, and are specially researched and developed for the in-container operation to solve the difficulties of large-tonnage cargoes into containers. 1. Body height
The external dimensions of container mast forlift should adapt to the narrow space inside the container operation needs. According to ISO international standards and China GB1834 "general container minimum internal dimensions" of the provisions of the minimum height of the various box type of the internal container external nominal height minus 241mm; the minimum width of the door are 2286mm.

The maximum profile height of the forklift should be the height of the container door minus the thickness of the transition plate 15mm and the safety clearance of the forklift operation 80mm-90mm. then for the height of 8ft (2438mm) container, the maximum profile height of the forklift should be less than 2030mm; for the height of 8ft6in (2591mm) container, the maximum profile height of the forklift should be less than 2180mm. in addition, attention should be paid to the height of the driver's seat so that the driver's head does not touch the roof rack after sitting; in the case of no roof rack, the height of the driver's head after sitting should not be more than the height of the roof rack. In addition, attention should also be paid to the height of the driver's seat, so that the driver's head does not touch the roof rack when he sits on it; in the case of no roof rack, the height of the driver's head when he sits on it should not exceed the height of the gantry.

2. Axle load and wheel pressure
Forklift into the container operation, the wheels will produce a concentrated load on the bottom of the box. In accordance with the ISO inspection standards for the bottom of the container box, the axle load of 5460kg, each wheel of the average load of 2730kg. wheel width of 180mm, grounded area of 14200mm2, wheelbase of 760mm, the wheel pressure is limited to 1.88MPa.

Therefore, the container mast forklift’s axle load and wheel pressure should be less than the above limitations, and its lifting capacity is generally in the following 2500kg, so the container mast forklift are usually 2t ~ 2.5t level of small forklift.

3. Free lifting height and side shift

As the forklift operates in the container, its working space is strictly limited, so it is required to have free lifting performance and a convenient alignment function. Usually, the free lifting height of the forklift in the container operation is 1m ~ 1.5m, the side shift of the shelf is 100mm for each left and right, and the side shift of the fork is 150mm ~ 200mm.

4. Prevent pollution and reduce noise

The operation space of the container mast forklift is narrow, and it is required to reduce the noise and prevent air pollution, it is ideal to use the electric forklift. For the use of an diesel forklift, you need to install the engine exhaust purification device and muffler device.
